Eataly Caffè
New York, New York
New York City’s design landscape has been deeply shaped by Italian graphic designers, particularly modernist icons like Massimo Vignelli and Milton Glaser. Their emphasis on simplicity, functionality, and clarity—from the Subway map to the iconic “I Love NY” logo—have become integral to the city’s identity.
For Eataly’s first independent concept beyond its iconic markets, we were tasked with merging its legacy with the craftsmanship inherent in food-making. Typography plays a crucial role—Eataly’s clean, geometric serif provides structure and clarity, with a color palette intentionally restrained and built on bold hues of blue and orange to create moments of impact. This fusion of classic modernism and artisanal detail creates a contemporary yet inviting aesthetic—true to both Italian design and the spirit of New York.
