Ceres
Manhattan, New York
Ceres is a pizzeria on Mott Street founded by two former Eleven Madison Park chefs, who set out to apply their fine dining training to something deceptively simple: sourdough pizza. Rooted in process and precision rather than regional storytelling, Ceres approaches pizza as a craft defined by discipline—fermentation, repetition, and restraint. The result is an elevated, unfussy experience that resonates with both neighborhood regulars and destination diners. Since opening, Ceres has quickly become one of New York’s most talked-about pizzerias.
The visual identity reflects the same devotion to structure and consistency that drives the kitchen. Inspired by functional design systems—forms, charts, and the quiet logic of printed matter—the branding centers itself on a bold, cobalt blue box designed to stand out instantly and perform just as well (complete with custom NYC vents to keep the pizza crisp). A precise, modular logotype anchors the system, echoed across structured layouts, takeout materials, and signage. Every detail is meant to feel intentional, precise, and quietly confident—much like the pizza itself.
