Troutbeck’s brand identity is a dance between past and present, aiming to transmit a strong sense of place and inherited savoir faire, all the while giving guests a role in this inherited home, and a freedom of creative expression.

The printed collateral throughout Troutbeck follows traditional codes and draws inspiration from Troutbeck’s literary history and archives. We collaborated with local marble artist Christin Ripley, as a nod to the intricate marbled bookends found in rare books. Our color palette is location-specific to the different areas in the property, and inspired by nature and location: copper, yellow, crimson, the pink of the Clematis, the light blue of Northern skies etc. Thoughtful marks, like the Ex Libris and scan of former owner Amy Springarn’s “Sincerely Yours”, cement a day, a meal, and experience within Troutbeck's vast history.
